Modal Marketing, Inc. is an Illinois corporation formed in 1980 whose primary business is warehousing, marketing, and servicing products utilized by auto dealerships, body shops, alignment shops, muffler shops, brake shops, tire dealers, retread shops, trucking companies, service stations, garages, contractors, and farmers. Pekin, being centrally located geographically within the state, allows MMI to distribute products and services locally and via regional warehouses throughout the state.
Modal Marketing attributes its development to the foundation laid by the late Percy Walker (Walker Tech Supply), which began operation in 1955 as a distributor of Technical Rubber. In 1980, Keith Dunkelbarger acquired Walker Tech Supply incorporating the distributorship under Modal Marketing which has continued to grow and diversify while providing quality products and services for nearly 35 years.
